LOYALTY CARD – TERMS and CONDITIONS

We offer a Customer Loyalty Scheme in which customers can accrue points on most products in store and can redeem the points for money off when you have collected enough. 1 point is awarded for every £1.00 spent. 

Collecting Points

  • Loyalty Points ‘points’ are awarded on the basis of 1 point for every £1 spent on products (not including postage or delivery)
  • We reserve the rights to change the point value without notice.
  • Each Point is worth £0.01.
  • Points can only be allocated to an account at the time of purchase. We cannot add points after the sale is completed.
  • Points can be accrued between 1 January and 31 December of each trading year.
  • Points will be cancelled on 31 December of that trading year unless they are under £1.00.
  • We reserve the rights to change the point value without notice.
  • You must spend at least £1 for that transaction to qualify for points.
  • Discretionary Points may be awarded from time to time.
  • We may award additional points on promotional items or during a specific period but we reserve the right to limit the amount of additional points that can be awarded.
  • To collect points for a transaction in-store or online, your card or customer number must be used/presented at the checkout before purchase. For online orders please put your customer number in the notes section on the checkout page.
  • You must be a valid Loyalty customer to earn points – we cannot retrospectively add points to your account.
  • When purchases that have earned or have been made using points are returned for a refund, an adjustment for the value of the points will be made to the amount refunded.
  • Certain brands are excluded from our loyalty scheme and no points will be earnt where that brand has it’s own loyalty scheme. Brands currently excluded are Burns Pet Nutrition and Paleo Ridge products.

Redeeming Points

  • The current value of points is £0.01 for every 1 point. We reserve the rights to change the point value without notice.
  • Points may be redeemed off future purchases once you have collected sufficient points. This is currently set at 100 points.
  • Points must be used before 31 December in the current trading year or will be cancelled if membership is cancelled for any reason.
  • Points are non-transferable and cannot be traded in any way.
  • We cannot retrospectively deduct points from your account.
  • No cash alternative is available.

Membership

  • The Loyalty Card can only be used to earn and redeem points at The Pet Food Shop (Smartypups Ltd t/a), Station Approach, Heathfield, East Sussex, TN21 8LG.
  • The “Loyalty Scheme” is open to UK residents aged over 18 years.
  • We reserve the right to refuse any application to the scheme at our absolute discretion.
  • By using the “Loyalty Scheme” you accept these terms and conditions.
  • If the Loyalty Scheme is not used by the customer for more than 365 days the account will be deleted.
  • You are required to inform The Pet Food Shop (Smartypups Ltd t/a) Heathfield of any changes to your email, name or address details or telephone numbers.

Data Protection

  • Under the “Loyalty Scheme” we will create and maintain a database of information, including details on how you use your card and what you buy.
  • Card information that we may hold on our Loyalty Scheme members may include: Contact details (including your residential address, telephone numbers and email address) and other application details and transactional details.
  • Any other personal data supplied by you such as information about any animals owned by you.
  • Data will be held, used and updated in order to: develop and improve our products and services, send periodic promotional emails/text messages about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address or mobile telephone number which you have provided.
  • From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes.
  • We will not send or sell your information to any third parties without your express permission
  • If you do not want us to use your information to contact you with information about goods and services as outlined above you can write to us at The Pet Food Shop (Smartypups Ltd t/a), Station Approach, Heathfield, East Sussex, TN21 8LG. Please note that refusal of consent may mean that certain services and benefits may no longer be available to the loyalty member.
  • You can ask for a copy of the information we hold on you by writing to us at The Pet Food Shop (Smartypups Ltd t/a), Station Approach, Heathfield, East Sussex, TN21 8LG and enclosing a Self addressed envelope.

Loss or Theft of Card

  • You must immediately notify us in writing of the loss, theft or unauthorised use of your card,
  • It is your responsibility to ensure that you card is kept secure and is not used by any unauthorised persons. We do not accept liability for any loss, theft or unauthorised use of your card.

Cancellation of membership

  • You may cancel your membership of the Loyalty Scheme at any time by writing to us at The Pet Food Shop (Srnartypups Ltd t/a), Station Approach, Heathfield, East Sussex, TN21 8LG.
  • We will immediately cancel your membership of the scheme and any current points will be cancelled.

Other

  • This scheme is governed by English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
  • We reserve the right to withdraw, cancel, vary or alter the scheme at any time.
  • We reserve the right to vary these Terms and Conditions at any time and shall give as much notice to you as reasonably practical. Earning or redeeming points will constitute acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.
